Allium Giganteum Ambassador - 1 Bulb

10139518

Allium Giganteum Ambassador is a classic allium that offers a taller, darker and longer flowering head. Growing on a singular stem with Deep, rich purple star shaped flowers making a large balloon shaped head allowing this to ‘float’ atop your beds and borders. With a tall and sturdy stem, you have no worry about any winds or rain as these will survive most conditions. Flowering in the late summer (usually when roses are ready for their second bloom) we recommend planting these in a full sun setting in a soil that has plenty of drainage as these do not like to sit in water. Once flowering has completed simply deadhead and wait until next season to be greeted with more flowers as these will eventually spread but in a clump form so if you don’t want them running away, they are easy to maintain. Plant bulbs from September to December 15-20cm deep and 10cm apart in fertile, well-drained soil.
