Asplenium Scolopendrium is a rosette forming fern that handles even the toughest of British winters. Are you bored of not having much success in your garden? this easy to care for fern is probably the hardest thing to kill, so why not try planting this evergreen fern. Ferns are usually located on the forest floor where its dark and humid however, you can also see them along heathlands when you’re out for a walk giving you an idea on their versatility. Growing in either full shade or partial shade there really isn’t a place where a fern will not grow. For a natural look why not plant this fern next to your pond where the soil is moist but not wet or under a tree as they would normally be located in their natural environment. Our Asplenium Scolopendrium are small enough to have in a hanging basket accompanied by other wet soil loving plants or in a container adding bright colours and textures. Once established this easy to maintain fern will handle droughts of hot and dry weather. Typically, ferns die back in the autumn however this variety will keep its foliage year-round as this specimen is hardy up to -21 and either an exposed or sheltered position. Asplenium Scolopendrium will reach a potential height and spread of no more than 50cm.
