Flowering during the mid to late summer with a fluffy red flower atop the neat compact foliage. producing masses of lance shaped upright foliage makes this ideal to have in a mixed border or in a container allowing for the bottlebrush flowers to bring the colour and textures into your space. Pennisetum Red Bunny Tails thrives best in a full sun to partial shade position in a water retentive soil allowing for plenty of drainage. Minimal pruning will be required to help promote new growth. Simply prune back in February allowing for new foliage when the springtime arrives. Pennisetum Red Bunny Tails will reach a potential height of 1 metre with a spread of 50cm.
