Rudbeckias are a long-lasting annual that thrives in nothing less than full sun. Reminiscent of sunflowers with their dark green foliage and fantastic yellow head transitions into deep, rich reds towards the centre. These simply wonderful plants are nothing but impactful. Thriving best in full sun with plenty of drainage the cone shaped head unravels into a large yellow flower that is loved by beneficial insects and eventually small songbirds, if not deadheaded the seed pod will provide the small birds with a food source. Rudbeckia isn’t frost hardy however if in a mild winter you will see that some leaves will stick around to re-grow in the following season however, this seldom happens. Rudbeckia Sunbeckia Sarah will reach a potential height of 90cm with a spread of 50cm.
