Sweet Pea Mayflower 400 Seeds

Celebrate the historic journey of the mayflower with our sweet pea mayflower seeds. These frilly 'spencer' type flowers boast a medium scent, reminiscent of the old days. For best results, sow indoors, 1.5cm deep, with five seeds per 12cm pot of compost. Keep them cozy in a cold frame, greenhouse, or cool windowsill around 60°f. In about 12-21 days, watch delicate seedlings emerge. Encourage bushy growth by pinching out the growing tip after the second pair of leaves appears. Gradually acclimate them to the great outdoors before planting them 30cm apart. Support with tall canes or netting. Alternatively, sow them directly in well-prepared, moist soil, 1.5cm deep, with two seeds every 30cm. Protect young plants against birds, and overwinter autumn sowings in a frost-free environment.
