Onion (spring) ishikura seeds offer non-bulbing salad onions with long white stalks that leave little waste. Sow these gems directly outdoors, and once they're in well-prepared soil, the seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. No thinning needed; just keep them well-watered in dry spells. Regular sowings every three weeks will give you a continuous supply through the summer. August to September sowings will be a delightful spring surprise.
