Tulip 'Mariette' is a graceful, late-blooming tulip that typically flowers in late April to early May. It features elegant, rose-pink blooms on tall, sturdy stems that can reach a height of 50-60 cm (20-24 inches). To plant, choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Plant the bulbs in autumn, around September to November, at a depth of about 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) and spaced 10-15 cm apart. Ensure the pointed end is facing upwards. Water well after planting and during dry spells in spring. Tulip 'Mariette' pairs beautifully with other late-spring flowers and is excellent for borders or containers. Deadhead spent flowers but leave the foliage to die back naturally, allowing the bulb to store energy for the next season.
